Solitude Is the Place of the Great Struggle
Solitude is the furnace of our transformation, says Henry Nowan. It's a place to fight evil both outside of us and inside of us. In the quiet we experience God's compassionate love. So many people never experience the depth of God's love because they're never actually honest with God or themselves about what a mess they are.
