Is Harry Potter Translated From English?

Harry Potter is actually like a Lexile score relatively high which means that it's more complex than I think a beginner should deal with. It's very flowery and also a lot of the languages obviously like fantasy based. Unless you're really English it's translated from English so especially when the target language is Japanese. Sometimes it's notably different than like from natively Japanese works because the languages are so different. There's made up words and then it's like yeah. How are you going to translate things that only exist in England like in an English style school system? That's just very difficult.
