It is a noble idea, but the inclination that's tricky. Some countries or industries have just a much harder job to reduce emissions than others. So this whole system that you can buy credit and som and you discredit actually gets deducted from your balance of emission leads to being carbon neutral - even if you are still polluting. Ironically, shell has the claim to be net zero in carbon in c o t emission by 20 50. And that's why i bought an engine oil from castrol that has the claim carbon neutral on the box.
