Are You All Capitalism's Bitch?

Renovation as we talk about in the book is inherently less carbon intensive. Maine has a huge stock of old houses that are in desperate need of renovation and weatherization. I think there's very few houses older than 50, 60, 70 years old where it would not be fairly simple to cut their energy consumption in half. A house that was built before the Civil War or something, there's always things you can do. Even just air sealing a house is the most important thing you can do and that makes a huge difference.
