We are not designed to be conscious of what is, from natural selection's, quote, point of view, our purpose. We need to get better at transcending the distortions of thought and perception that were built into us by natural selection. There are lots of ways ah to do this; they don't have to involve a buddhist context. I personally think it's a very helpful tool. But go aht yetnd, we're at that threshold.
