What Has He Done With the Story?

The USS Maine blew up during the Spanish-American War. William Randolph Hearst wanted to see if he could sink one of his yachts in the Suez Canal and delay Spain from moving its fleet through the canal. He sent journalists, photographers, and cartoonists over to Cuba; they documented everything about this new Spanish American war. This is the first time that Hearst starts working with the Edison company to produce motion pictures, movies of the war.
