How to Send a Message to a Facebook User Outside the Ecosystem

There was a very nice traction around Java XMPP protocol it got really popular like 10, 15 years ago which was supposed to be very extensible. The problem with that and now it's my speculation because those networks were like you couldn't make money out of that they decided to basically close those solutions. Another problem with that was though that there was no standard way of doing like video calls or file transfers between these networks. So generally if you wanted to send I don't know like a funny cat video it was a little bit harder on a protocol level but I think they decided to look at those things down just because well they couldn't monetize that.
