Is There Any Evidence of Plea Bargaining in Torts?

In the 17 hundreds, at least in england, you can find evidence of plea bargaining. Judges simply have more power to limit their criminal case loads in their civil case lods. But it's the pressure exerted by their civil case loads that is judges the incentive to engage in criminal plea bargain.
