The Cosmic Gorilla Effect

This week, we look at how human cognition has amazing blind spots for attention that will astound you. In an experiment called the cosmic gorilla effect, a person in a gorilla costume walks through a group of people and no one notices it. But somehow, when weare trained in on a certain type of cognitive task in visual processing, you can completely miss gross stimuli that seem impossible to miss if you were looking for them.
