The Importance of Understanding the Why of Design

I think the biggest misconception for people just trying to get into the industry is that it's going to be all about the UI, right? Because each step is not independent of the previous one. I can't tell you even in larger companies, small companies, it doesn't matter. How many times I've heard, we're not ready for the UX yet. Like right now, that would be the perfect time to bring in UX is when you're notready for the wireframes.
