The New School Old School View of the Church
There have been two views in the history of the church and it's in Presbyterianism, American Presbyterianism. The old school view though is the one with which Maychin identified. This comes from a number of old school ministers in the 19th century. It does go beyond that to then involve the church also being concerned with the reform of society.
