Blake: I like the idea that there's a kind of dissent here from an ox to a, if that's true, a dumber donkey and then you've got the people. So that's a fairly strong critique that they rank lower on the rung than the ox and donkey. Blake: One of my favorites is in Isaiah 16, 8, which is part of a very, very serious poem lamenting the destroyed vineyards of Moab. There are a couple of puns actually going on; it's a pretty sophisticated pun using the multi-multiple meanings of the word hollam, hammer.
