The 1994 Crime Bill - A Big Moment in This History

The 19 94 crime bill, and the idea of being tough on crime, this was a main stream idea. It is hard to point to a single piece of legislation that was more massive in its impact  and the breadth of the things it touched. The way to understand it is that it took the system and it just pumped staroids into all the prosecutorial parts of it, and the system ballooned as a consequence.
