The Gupta Dynasty

The gupta dynasty was founded by a chieftain named shrigupta in 200 forty. They were able to consolidate the north and east of india, but with much of the south still separate. After about 200 this cushion emp also broke up into feuding kingdoms. So it didn't last for more than a century and a half. And some of these realms were then graded and attacked and sometimes conquered by sassinian persians attacking from the west. These new dangers from the west then spurred on another unification of india - led by the gupta dynasty based in the east.
