With modernism comes this... It creates a wall. You're not going to just jump in to Kant and get it. You've got to be part of this unfolding, this history, this language. And so now they start to codify music, literature, film even. In its nature, it's exclusionary because it's designed as such. So now, and that's where you get a sort of kind of a hostile working class reaction. But I think there are art forms or forms of expression that have more meaning than maybe we think.
