The Four Hundred Years, a Reading of the Pentateuch
Verse 25 is challenging to understand. Is it suggesting that israel didn't offer any sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness? This seems to be at odds with various passages in the pentateuch. The point is that during the forty years, which was far from wholly characterized bunfaithfulness, israel's relationship with god was sustained without sacrifice.
