And also sometimes back in New York, when I had a roommate, if say I didn't go out one night, but he did, since I stay up late at night, sometimes I would like hear him come home at like three or four a.m. And you know, obviously pretty drunk and tired. And I'm like, wow, I'm so glad that I am like, sober right now. And I'm going to wake up tomorrow feeling great versus like roommate 5050, you
Speaker 1
know? Yeah, that's so funny. That's true. There's nothing that feels better than waking up in the morning being like, you know, I'm not over. Dude, does this make a sound like?
Speaker 2
No, it's just because, you know, we're older. So we're more prone to hangovers. Church, church, church. Honestly, this
Speaker 1
is going to sound kind of small,
Speaker 1
like in our lives, it's bigger. Another thing that makes me feel Jomo is like the amount of driving that goes into attending a hangout sometimes is just egregious, especially with the gas prices climbing up again. I filled up the other day for like 625. I drive like a tiny car and it was like 80 plus dollars for a tank. And knowing that you're not stuck in traffic for an hour each way, struggling to find parking, especially if you're going to the city or whatever. And then having to like do that drive back home just feels nice sometimes. It's like that trip, that's probably like $20 worth of gas.
Speaker 2
You're so right. The Bay Area is huge. So more often than not going to hang out is a whole journey. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like, okay, even if we leave wherever we are at like say 1am, still got a drive. So you're probably not going to get home until like 1.30 at the earliest. Right. Might end up getting home at like 2 maybe even later if you're like carpooling and dropping people off. So there's definitely some of that travel time that we sometimes forget until
Speaker 1
you get home and you're like, Oh my God, it's like 3am. Yeah, I'm like, even when you get home, you have to shower and like do your whole ritual. And it just has a lot of time. And it's like the hangout itself can be whatever duration, but there's all this like prep time and like post hangout time that goes into it.
Speaker 2
Yeah, absolutely.
