There was also a kind of accepted range of what people considered to be palatable for their audience. We did some semi-experimental book covers, but it was always with the idea that it needed to be clear and communicate. Despite the typographic experiments that were raging in the schools, that was not accepted. You know, that was just not where people were going yet.
