Crosby's Stranger in a Strange Land

Nixi's arrangement was designed to sound as much like a Sonny and Cher record as possible. At first the intention was just to overdub McGwin's guitar and vocals onto a track by the Wrecking Crew. The eventual track was cooked by the group with Jim Dixon producing. There was a growing factionalism in the group by this point, with McGwin and to a lesser extent Michael Clark being friendly with Melcher. It didn't help that Crosby's songs tended to be things like harmonically complex pieces based on science fiction novels.
