A key question going forward for the designers of inspect systems is to think about how to create inter operable payment worlds that don't reproduce other kinds of inequality. Social media complicates this, and the way that it does so can have some very interesting regulatory consequences. Does the size of a community tell you about how decentralized it may be? And is there something about that community that gives clues as to its governance or lack thereof? These questions will find more explicit expression as not only crypto comes under the regulatory microscope, but also as money itself becomes an increasingly personal and expressive context in which communities rise fall.
