I Love the Current System of Contracts and the Limit
The NHL landscape is you can sign for eight years with your current team or seven years with any of the other teams if you hit free agency so that would be almost cutting it in half by going down to four years. KSI meals will design a seven-year $30 million deal which kicks in next year right? I think the players deserve more power and say over their careers and I'd like to see some sort of structure in place that allows them to do what they want. The RFA setup is the biggest issue and it's beyond ridiculous how little leverage most young players have in the league even though these are their most productive seasons.
