The Importance of Language in the Left Brain

Can we have one lesion in one hemisphere sufficient enough to impair the patient's mental status this much? And I suppose we can. We're not hearing something specifically about language. It sounds as though we haven't heard at least yet, and we'll find out on the exam if the language is impaired, or the patient is merely slow. Can you get sort of this slow abuelic? Street Ar, use that term abulia, sort of a very decreased speed of response  as Street Ar gave an excellent description. You asked the name, you don't hear anything, and a few questions later, patient answers the name.
