Observation is theory-laden. We see a thing and we say, oh look, a tree. And then the guide at the Botanic Gardens tells us, sure. That looks like a tree, doesn't it? Appearances can be deceiving. Now observation won't tell you, but that's actually a red-flowing maple. This is the problem with objectivist ways of thinking.
