It's hard not to be cynical. In many ways, this withdrawal isn't a surprise. The idea that they didn't fight is complete rubbish. They have been fighting harder and harder than anybody else for 20 years. And so you've got an american president who's negotiating behind the back of the afghan government for his own troops,. Not for the coalition, including the afghans. That's a hell of a blow.
