The Role of Alleles in Protein Production

A dominant allele is something that shows its effect in an individual when there is only one copy of it present. On the other hand a recessive allegory only shows their effect if this individual has two copies of the recessive alleles. Usually caused by a loss of function in the protein that this gene encodes for so as i said thealleles can have this kind of dominant recessive relationship or they can have these more complex relationships.
