The Morality of Rituals
Rituals have this initiatory purpose in some way that they actually bring about morality that wouldn't otherwise be there. Rituals tend to turn into these rituals or encoded performative acts as you would say it maybe but and that's i think where kind of the trouble lies with moral systems. When a an act like that becomes disconnected from achieving that goal when it doesn't bring individuals into that moral space but instead just brings them into this kind of self-repeating a loop where it kind of just reaffirms itself that's when it becomes problematic.
