Is Steve a Realist or a Realism?
I had in my own aha moment as a junior in quantum physics, seeing the predictions of properties of the electron muon out to ten decimal places and then seeing the experiments which verify those predictions. I thought for the first time that maybe math wasn't just a description of what was happening out there in our language, but it really was the essential underlying machinery of the universe itself. We are not inventing them like Bob Dylan or Tony Morrison. We are discovering facts that already exist.
