How Many Stories Do You Have in Your Nonprofit?
I wanted to create some sort of collective conversation in the hospital because it's such an alienating place. Initially, my initial vision was you'd even be able to record. The amount of red tape was just mind-boggling. We have a whole protocol for working with storytellers pretty intensively in advance of these live events and then editing their drafts with them. And we've done it with people who are not literate to and spoken word and then giving them a forum to share.
