The Evolution of the Crossguard Saber

The crossguard saber became controversial because they changed it from when Force Awakens came out to this. I think what we're led to believe is that this lightsaber has been around for a while. This design is being used by people of that time and it's been used by people long ago based on what we're seeing here in this Rebels episode. But I think the idea that Kylo Ren's lightsaber is not doing that ventilation, like you said, you know, it's just one of those things I think with stories coming out constantly across the board, things sometimes just have to evolve.
