Introduction

Apple has done something that was pretty inconvenient for developers, but it really secured their customers. It basically meant we saw a complete stop in all kernel level malware. But there is a loophole. Microsoft does allow kernel mode drivers to operate so long as the driver was approved separately before July 29th, 2015. A cut-off date that Microsoft chose so that older software that had not been through Microsoft's own approval process now could still function with the release of Windows Vista. And rather than using those tools to run video game cheats, right, a group of hackers use those tools instead to disguise malware. Now you know why video games should be illegal.
