There's a good chance you'll be asked about these relationships on the IELTS exam. A partner could be a spouse or it could be a long-term girlfriend or boyfriend. You don't have to be married, but if you've been together a while then that person is your partner. Some people say fiance and some people say fiance. Both are correct.
