Optimus Prime and Bob Budiansky
Bob Budiansky was the writer of most of the US transformer comics from Marvel. He would be shown toys, and they would say, well, come up with information about them. Tell us what this character is. And so a lot of what you see on the toy shelf would come out from Budiansky's brain. According to Budiansky, he was basically left alone. There would be some divergence on the cartoon and the comic book,. A big divergence from the movie, which will feature characters that he created.
