The scholars you're going to meet today are working on the books that you will be assigning someday in your classes. Professor Kenetra Brooks is well known for her work on black women and genre fiction, particularly in the arena of horror. Elian Hill studies the embodied renderings of the domestic and transatlantic slave trades in Ghana, Togo, Benin, Liberia. Cersei Mendez focuses his research on race, gender, sex, and sexuality at the intersections of science and religion.
