The distinction between historical and fictional is more stringent now than has been for centuries, he says. When you're reading a narrative there's an intentionality to get you to live vicariously through the character’s life rit the the events are structured in such a way that allows you to embody them. So whether some one is biographically real or fictional, a those distinctions are just, to me, they're more permeable then than we usually thinkf them.
