The Life and Times of Bob Hurley

Bob Hurley was a surfboard shaper when we were growing up, Hurley surfboards. Made surfboards for a bunch of touring pros and kind of thought he was going to be a surfboardShaper for his life. In 1983, he wanted to carry, well, there's these guys showing up from Australia wearing these shorts that were kind of longer. Well, everyone else is wearing these short shorts and they were kind of these punk rock shorts. That was Bill Bong shorts. And like, what the heck am I going to do? Yeah, I don't have money to buy all those shorts. It's a lot of shorts. Totally.
