Introduction
In 1936, a Czech writer named Carl Choppek published his final book. Two years later, in October 1938, the German army occupied Czechoslovakia. What if a newly discovered species of highly intelligent, three-foot tall amphibians overthrew humanity? This story is inspired by that final book, The One About Nuts. Here's to the faucet dripping at night. And here's to the books that never fit quite best enough.
