There is a high correlation between a person's perceived exertion and their actual heart rate during exercise. I think that sometimes people can get too obsessed about numbers and really focus on numbers. But i like going with peceived exertion and how people feel. And usually training at a range of moderate perceived exertion, where you linke, you're working pretty hard but still able to hold conversation.
