We think that plastic is inert and yet a scientist is discovering it mostly isn't. One plastic contains problematic chemicals that are released in use and at the end of use, whether that's in disposal or recycling. Plus there are microfibers which can act as carriers for toxins. These end up all across our food chains, in drinking water and inside every part of our bodies. We're seeing increasing rates of cancer, neurological disorders and other non-communicable diseases across all age groups.
