This is my second book. I wrote for O'Reilly before a book about SVG. But I wasn't working with O'Reilly this time, so I was just writing it from scratch. So I used a tool called Scrivener. What it does is it kind of allows you to plot out the book in sections sort of like a post-it note. And then you can restructure those post-it notes into chapters.
In this supper club episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk with Sarah Drasner about her new book, Engineering Management for the Rest of Us, what it’s like moving from management to coding and back, the book writing process, and her Fortnite VS Code theme.
