The Fear of Black Uprisings
The fear of black uprisings is a running theme throughout African European relations in North America. But slaves had other ways to resist their masters and through overt measures. They would feign illness, pretend ignorance and sabotage work equipment. These methods of subtle resistance in turn give rise to many racist stereotypes that still endure today.
