Introduction

Ezra and Nehemiah are the second half of one book in the original Hebrew Bible. They really are about a particular period in Israel's history that takes place over about a hundred years. And it's a time in which Israel's kingdom has collapsed due to the failing of Israel to maintain its loyalty to Yahweh.
