Jude Wang: State capitalism wasn't a sufficient label for China's political economy anymore. He says by the mid 2010s, clear shifts had occurred in China's economic system. New legislation effectively securitizes firms and other economic actors, he says. The parties also stepped up the establishment of party branches in firms, he adds.
