What Can the Greatest Artists Do?
There's a very hopeful message to the novel at the same time despite the gravity of the current crisis we face. One thing that the artists can do is to remind us that we are not who we are at present. I think myth is saying through the figure of Hercules that we can solve what seemed to be the almost insolvable problems in our history. It's from this that one has some basis of hope for dealing with what's hovering over us.
