Thomas Merton, Seven Story Mountain

I was starting to become a little warmer to it, especially to the travis. They weren't the narrow-minded bigots that was the stereotype in my upbringing. And moreover, I was just really impressed at how they could maintain such a strong sense of purpose while also being very humane. Thomas Merton, how much research did you do into him? I really, really loved his book Seven Story Mountain. Some of his sort of little maxims are terrific.
