Dogs Do Not Have a Self Image
The self is a close conceptual and even an image of who you are. A dog exists prior to conceptual thinking and a dog does not have a self image I often point that out. No dog hates himself or herself or itself and no dog loves him or herself because the dog doesn't have a conceptual self it has no self, the dog is itself it is just it doesn't have own image in a pool of water.
