Contingency is such an important word here, because often, a people er, you now, we tend to forget how important historical processes are. So i approached this topic with the study of a vage contemporary phenomenon at time, the maker movement. The maker movement was really something that spread around the globe in these years following the two thousand seven and eight financial crisis. People who were active in that movement began turning to china, specifically shenjen, as the ultimate laboratory for prototyping.
