The Importance of the Old Testament Language in Matthew
There's nothing unusual about the language that's used in Matthew. Jesus is quoting the Old Testament. He's taking a passage right out of Isaiah chapter 13. And so if everything up to verse 28 took place before that generation passed away, immediately tells you verse 29 has to fit that as well. Plus what Jesus says, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. So how do you reconcile that?
