The idea that you can have your preference is realized in a world where you are unwilling to make space for other people's preferences, i think, is impossible. The word pluralism isis what i keep coming back to. And iti it does not mean being cool with people that you're cool with. It means allowing people who are doing things that you think are perhaps morally wrong and may be even self destructive. That is like, a huge, huge part of what living in a free society looks like.
