Cardiology - Gene Editing
I was also struck by some research around gene editing. And there's a late breaking science session on CRISPR-Cas9 technology. That technology was used to try to see if we could do something for something called amoid or amylidosis of people with cardiomyopathy. Now, this group in this small phase once they had previously demonstrated this in polyenteropathy. This is the first time that it was done with actual cardiovascular patients and again showed that the actual infusion of the gene editing totally reduced production of the protein.
