The First Emperor of China - The Peoples Republic of Jangois
Around the year one thousand b c, this culture seems to have acquired the name jean gois. In 20 20 the official name for china is actually the people's republic of jangois. The shang dynasty was a bronze age civilization that covered a good chunk of what would eventually become the empire forged by the chin. You couldn't really claim to be chinese if you were outside the borders of the shang dynasty. Still, it could be argued that the idea of chinese unity starts with the shang.
